1. Never turn on your transmitter, at the field, unless you place your AMA card on the frequency board and you place the proper frequency clip on your transmitter.
2. Always turn off your transmitter after use and return the clip to the board, and the transmitter to the impound area. The maximum time for using a clip is 15 minutes.
3. At the beginning of any flying session, always check carefully both the mechanical and radio components of your aircraft.
4. ALL transmitters should have a frequency/channel indicator.
5. In preparing to start your engine, move your aircraft to the concrete apron outside the fence. Never start your engine under the ramada.
6. When starting and adjusting your engine, be certain that the tail of the aircraft is directed towards the runway.
7. NEVER stand alongside or in front of an engine at any throttle setting other than idle.
8. On weekends and holidays (when the field is crowded) a student pilot must not fly unless assisted by a Level 2 pilot.
9. It is desirable that all flying be done (no matter how expert the pilot) with a co-pilot standing by. If you see someone flying by himself, go stand alongside him and enjoy the flight.
10. While flying, do not allow your aircraft to cross behind (to the South of) the double line at any time. The double line effectively extends infinitely to the East and to the West and vertically.
11. Pilots should conform to traffic pattern flow at all times (established by wind direction arrow).
12. Always call out (loudly) "ON THE FIELD" anytime you step over (to the North of) the double line onto the runway. You should also let pilots know when you have cleared the runway.
13. An aircraft attempting to land has the right-of-way over all other aircraft. An aircraft attempting to land with a dead engine ALWAYS has the right-of-way over ALL OTHER AIRCRAFT. Call out "DEAD STICK" to warn others. Aircraft making A FINAL LANDING should clear the runway as soon as practical.
14. Pure plastic (Nylon, Styrene, ABS, etc.) props without imbedded reinforcement (Fiberglass, Carbon Fibers, Kevlar etc.) are prohibited on any engine larger than .24 cubic inch.
15. All engines larger than .10 cubic inch must be equipped with an approved silencer (stock muffler or suitable substitute).
16. Engine test runs of more than about 30 seconds should be done on the concrete run-up pad located west of the trailer.
17. Always abort any take-off (by shutting down the engine) if there appears to be ANY possibility that the aircraft involved will cross the pilot fence. This rule is especially important when there is the possibility of hitting anything other than the desert.
18. No one is allowed to fly at any time unless he/she has a current AMA license in their possession. “NO EXCEPTIONS."
19. No one is allowed to fly unless he/she is a member of the Tucson Radio Control Club or the guest of a club member and only if that guest has a current AMA license in their possession.
20. If you pack it in then pack it out. This refers to anything deposited on the field or around the outside of the field. (Plane crash or any other kind of trash).
21. There will be NO consumption of alcohol beverages at the TRCC field at any time unless authorized by the TRCC board.
