New Pilot Training

The Tucson Radio Control Club provides new pilot training, free of charge, for all current members of the club. The Tucson Radio Control Club instructors teach basic flight maneuvers and field safety.

If you are completely new to the hobby then we suggest that you contact an instructor before purchasing any planes, radios, and flightline equipment as the instructors can give you advice on what you need to purchase. If you should need help in setting up your airplane or test flying, there are many experienced club members who are more that willing to help.

The following is a list of instructors who are available, by appointment, to help you learn to fly. Please remember that they are volunteering their time to help. So it is best to make an appointment to ensure that they will be available. Also see links below on New Pilot FAQ's and Pilot Training Criteria
